Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you - all the expectations, all of the beliefs - and becoming who you are. ~ Rachel Remen
The mind is the surface of the heart, the heart the depth of the mind. ~ Hazrat Inayat Khan
I do not understand the mystery of grace - only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us. ~ Anne Lamott

Journey Integration Coaching

There are many paths a seeker can follow on their journey of self-actualization.  For some, that path is parenting, or professional mastery.  For others, the journey includes exploring deep self-healing and discovery such as meditation or utilizing various psychedelic medicines.

The goal of these endeavors is typically personal growth, healing, and development.  Sometimes referred to as  “peak” or “mystical” experiences, the expansive insights and wisdom that accompany this kind of exploration have the potential to be life-changing if the proper time and attention are given to integrating them into our daily lives. Partnered integration helps individuals understand the transformative changes and challenges that arise out of this journey or “medicine” work.  Having an integration partner can help resolve the issues that arise on this path, as well as, the unique aspects of each seeker’s personal growth journey.  Because this work can uncover shadowed truths, confidence-shaking dynamics, limiting beliefs, habits, and other limiting blocks, being supported on this vulnerable path is not only the compassionate way but an essential component.

While Thresholding, LLC, does not provide, condone or support the use of illegal substances, we acknowledge that people choose the risks of using psychedelics, legal, medical and otherwise, regardless of the potential of these substances to amplify mental health issues or other difficulties. Integration coaching can reduce the opportunity for harm of those exploring psychedelics. Having an integration partner can provide support to those looking to process and integrate insights from these non-ordinary states of consciousness. Integration coaching can help transform these “states” to the “traits” or sustainable habits that have the power of healing transformation.

At Thresholding, we draw on the best practices from ancient lineages and modern science to support individuals at these important times of learning and development.  This work is purposeful, defined by the specific focus of the participants who are able to find greater access to their personal strengths, joy, creativity, beliefs, values, and gifts.  In addition to drawing on years of experience and skills from coaching, spiritual direction, somatic embodiment, and neuroscience, we use an approach that honors the great traditions and cultures from which so much of this exploration work originates.  Working both with individuals and in private group settings, this ”neoshamanic” approach involves the use of ceremony, creativity, embodiment and sacred partnering in the spirit of respect, humility and surrender.

The reward of this kind of intentional containing for your integration is the sustainable realization and amplification of your authentic and whole self.

If you are interested in having a partner to support your integration of this powerful work, contact us today to learn more about how Thresholding can help.

A portion of Thresholding proceeds is donated to the following indigenous community organizations that actively work to protect the natural resources and ancient wisdom practices of plant-based medicine work. We have also included a couple of United States based nonprofit organizations working to support the responsible use of psychedelics in healing modalities. We encourage you to consider supporting one or more of these organizations as a part of your own reciprocity practice on this path:

(H)ealing work is about healing the losses that an individual experiences throughout their lives, including a loss of vision, a loss of purpose, loss of a job, loss of a loved one, and hte feeling of loss that goes along with the crises that happen all too frequently in our communities and world. ~ Sobonfu Some
I do not understand the mystery of grace -- only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us. ~ Anne Lamott
Impermanence is a principal of harmony. When we don’t struggle against it, we are in harmony with reality. ~ Pema Chodron
There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. All hope for a better world rests in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life. ~ John Lennon
To live in this world you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let go, to let go. ~ Mary Oliver, from In Blackwater Woods
As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again and again... To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. ~ Henry David Thoreau
For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn't understand growth, it would look like complete destruction. ~ Cynthia Occelli
The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer. ~ Ken Kesey
