Questions about End of Life
Many people are familiar with the term “doula” and how those professionals assist mothers and families at the time of birth. Throughout history, in many cultures, there have also been people who support individuals and families in the dying process and at the time of death. These people work with caregivers, medical professionals, family members and the dying person to help the dying person clarify and accomplish their end of life goals. Death doulas and end of life coaches work in tandem with hospice and palliative care professionals to support clear communication and execution of the dying person’s wishes. Thresholding can help you and your family communicate about important end of life decisions and support collaboration among family members after the death of their loved one. A death doula that takes a learning or “coaching” approach to this process helps the dying person and their community frame and nurture the end of life experience as a vital learning and healing opportunity supporting participants in their individual and collective grief processes. When a dying person begins the process of clarifying their end of life wishes and desires around legacy, they often assemble a group of key members and/or caregivers from their family and community. Thresholding family care team facilitation utilizes the best practices from group communication, facilitation and decision-making processes to support the dying person and their community in these important end of life reflection and planning discussions. Participants are invited to celebrate and reflect with the dying person on their life, explore issues of legacy and end of life choices, all while collectively planning for and supporting the intentional implementation of the dying person’s wishes.
Typically, end of life services are provided at the rate of $250 an hour. This includes facilitation of small family team discussions and coaching sessions with individuals who are at end of life.

Questions about Vocational/Calling Coaching
At Thresholding, we take a blended and holistic approach to supporting people who are seeking clarity around their next professional steps. This approach draws on the most impactful tools from body centered or “somatic” executive coaching while also acknowledging that these clarity conversations often transcend & include the everyday. This requires partnership that makes room for both updating resumes and elevator pitches, as well as the client’s deepest longings and aspirations in the realm of calling and purpose. Vocational clarity clients have the option of two packages- 6 or 10 coaching sessions. If you are interested in exploring whether one of these packages is a good fit for you, contact us today to schedule a short “chemistry” call. During that call, we will have an opportunity to discuss your goals for having a clarity partner and determine if there is a sense of alignment around us partnering together in this work. Then, we begin with a deep dive session using a thorough intake form you will complete before the first session including any professional or personality assessments you may have completed previously. You will receive resources between each session to support the commitments and clarity that surface in our work together.
Coaching to support your clarity around vocation and calling are generally $250.00 per session. Each session is typically 1.5 hours in length. Typically these coaching sessions are purchased by clients in packages of 6 or 10 sessions and discounts are available based on need.
