“Tend the part of the garden you can reach!” Buddhist Wisdom
“Mow your own damn grass.” Julia Heard
Non-ordinary experiences can open profound insight, emotional depth, spiritual connection, creativity, grief, clarity, tenderness, and transformation. Yet meaningful experiences often require intentional integration in order to become sustainable wisdom.
Thresholding's Integration Circles are monthly online gatherings designed to support participants in gently tending, processing, and integrating experiences that may feel expansive, disorienting, illuminating, or difficult to carry alone.
These circles offer trauma-informed, harm reduction-oriented, somatic (body-based) peer support within a compassionate and carefully facilitated community container.
Integration is the ongoing process of making meaning from experiences that shift us. Sometimes these experiences arise through meditation, spiritual practice, grief, illness, major life transitions, dreams, contemplative work, expanded states of consciousness, psychedelic experiences, caregiving, loss, awakening, or deep encounters with mystery and transformation.
At Thresholding, we understand integration as more than simply "talking about what happened." Integration is:
As one integration framework beautifully describes: “Integration is a process in which a person revisits and actively engages in making sense of, working through, translating, and processing the content of their experience.”
